Dr. Dario Item is the Ambassador of Antigua and Barbuda to the Kingdom of Spain, Principality of Liechtenstein, Principality of Monaco.
He is an accredited attorney-at-law and licensed to practice in Switzerland and Italy.
Dr. Dario Item joined the Cantone Ticino Lawyer Register in 1998. The next year, joined the Cantone Ticino Bar Association.
He is a member of the Swiss Federation of Lawyers and Notaries.
He has been working together with the multidisciplinary law firm I&P Law Office SA in Lugano since 2000.
Dr. Item is also a member of Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the international professional association of experts who specialise in inheritance and succession planning.
He has extensive experience and currently works in multiple areas of the law. From banking and finance, he is also well-versed in the following areas:

Civil arbitration and litigation
He was accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Spain on June 21, 2018. He presented his Letter of Credence to the King of Spain, His Majesty Felipe VI, on January 16, 2019.
Ambassador Dario Item was accredited by H.S.H. Prince Alois, Hereditary Prince of Liechtenstein on 13 December 2018.
Ambassador Dario Item was accredited by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of the Principality of Monaco on February 28, 2019.
Dr. Dario Item is the head of mission of Antigua and Barbuda to Spain, Liechtenstein, and Monaco.
H.E. Dr. Dario Item is an accredited lawyer, with extensive knowledge in various aspects of criminal law, fiduciary, and trust law. In addition, he also advises his global clients in various aspects of diplomatic, consular matters, banking, and financial law.
Ambassador Item has been proactively helping promote the tourism industry of the state of Antigua and Barbuda together with the European Caucus of Ambassadors and Honorary Consuls.
